Dear Hollywood directors,

Please stop making cop-out lameass movies directed toward kids. Didn't you learn anything from "Thunderbirds"?

Thank you,
Me

Looks pretty lame. And all 3-D has ever been or ever will be is a cheap gimmick.

I read in Entertainment Weekly that the idea for the characters came from Robert Rodriguez's 6 year old son Racer. As such he has the credit "based on the stories and dreams of Racer Max Rodriguez"

Oh, and give this movie a break. Not every film has to appeal to all age groups. This is a film that kids can enjoy and that's all that needs to be said.

What kind of pathetic Speed Racer fanboy would go so far as to name their kid "Racer"?

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

You guys know that Rodriguez is also responsible for Sin City and the Desperado trilogy, right?

I think he's a very good director. He just also likes to do things for kids (Spy Kids trilogy and now this). I've only seen parts of the first Spy Kids movie and I wasn't that impressed, but I agree with Sean that it's a film kids can (and probably will) enjoy.

The second one was almost decent, but only for the fused animal part.

I just saw the trailer (http://www.apple.com/trailers/mirama...dlavagirl.html), and yeah, it does look a bit on the cheesy side.

But the kids will love it.
