Too bad. That, goofy sounding, voice of his made for some great cartoon characters (I was actually suprised to read some of the characters he voiced -- that I did not know before)

I think the only good, classic, voice-over actors that are remaining are Frank Welker and Jim Cummings (who are both still quite young -- Welker's 60 and Cummings is 52)

I read about this on another forum. He was quite an accomplished man, and being so, I can't say I'm sad to see him go. I'm more happy. I'll miss his work, but he did so much with his life it seems complete. Rest in Peace.

John Fiedler dead at 80

In more sad news for Winnie the Pooh fans, John Fiedler, the voice of Piglet, passed away on June 25 according to CNN. The stage and screen actor became the voice of Pooh's "ever-worrying" friend when his naturally high-pitched voice was noticed. "Walt Disney heard it on a program and said, 'That's Piglet' " according to his brother. Fiedler also appeared in several other Disney films: Sexton Mouse in Robin Hood, Deacon Owl in The Rescuers, Porcupine in The Fox and the Hound, and the old man who threw off the emperor's groove and was tossed out a window in The Emperor's New Groove.
Damn, that sucks.

Wasn't John Fiedler one of the jurors in 12 Angry Men?
