AICN says that the crew is stew on board and there are still plenty of studios (the article cryptically hints either New Line or Miramax) that can release the film.

I don't trust them to release this kind of movie. I can't think of any NLC's that impress me, and Miramax, I don't think ever has. If Universal or Fox won't do it, I can only think of Warner Brothers. If they'll do it.
