Well it's pretty safe to say that Venom will be in this one...

I just wonder if that's just a normal black suit, or is it the symbiote?

Initially, it looked more like shadowing on the poster, but the official site is screaming about a black suit.

I'm still not buying Venom at all. There's enough going to make it not work.

First, II's ending clearly indicates we're going to see Harry don the Goblin suit (thank god, Green Goblin is the best spidey villain to begin with).

Second, IMDB's listing has Franco listed as Green Goblin II and Church as Sandman (already confirmed by official site), while Grace's part isn't listed. If you inject Venom into the mix, you have far too many villains to even begin to deal with. While you could have Sandman be a throwaway villain and get knocked out of the mix early into the movie, how exactly are you going to split the screentime and story between Venom and Green Goblin II? If you do that, you wind up throwing out the entire backstory of Venom. It took them 2 movies to build up Harry (second most complex villain behind venom) before they dropped him into the lead villain role. It really boils down to there being one too many villain for the movie length.

To further push the theory of Green Goblin redux, they're casting both Gwen Stacy (Bryce Dallas Howard) and her father Capt. Stacy (James Cromwell). Somehow, I just don't see them pushing Stacy into more than one film, and I really don't see them further rewriting her demise by changing the villain (bad enough they robbed her in Spidey I).

So what do we do with that dorkus from That 70s Show? Does he look like Eddie Brock? Absolutely not. Even if they go with an Ultimate Spidey version of Venom (which is dumb and sh1tty), Grace looks more like a Peter Parker alternate than anything else. There's more of a possibility of a Ben Reilly (clone) angle based purely on looks than there is of an Eddie Brock. Grace would need to grow several inches in height as well as completely change his body build and style in order to pull off traditional Venom. There is also a good chance they'll introduce him as Eddie Brock (although he's still way too young IMO) and work Venom into Spidey 4.

That said, Black costume is badass.
