Thumbs up Inside Man

I saw the film today.

My thoughts:
  • This is the first film I saw directed by Spike Lee (and I have no idea why he calls his films "joints")
  • Clive Owen is very good as the villain (though he spends the majority wearing a mask)
  • Denzel Washington is, well, Denzel Washington
  • Jodie Foster's total screen time is like 15-20 minutes
  • There's a funny little, ultra-violent, GTA parody at one point (even though it's in the movie for next to no reason other than, perhaps a commentary on videogame violence - since it was being played by a kid on his PSP)
  • I saw the movie and I still can't put a finger on who the "inside man" of the title is (my best guess would be Clive Owen's character)
Overall the film was entertaining enough to warrent a recommendation.

Might see just for that GTA parody you mentioned.

The Inside Man: Anyone seen it yet?

I saw it yesterday. It was pretty good, and was an interesting story. I only wish Denzel Washington got a bigger part, though. -CSM

Bigger part? He was the star. It's that big enough?

It's Clive Owen I would have liked to have seen more of.

Denzel Washington was the veteran cop. The younger cop was someone else. -CSM
