I watch "Ice Age: The Meltdown" yesterday, and I saw an ad for the movie. Twas also on yesterday's The Simpsons Episode.

Considering the decline over the past few years in Simpsons eps, I'm not expecting much. But Matt Groening probably will be working hard and delaying it so it will be good. -CSM

I think I remember reading a quote from Groening that the only tv series that was succesfully made into a movie was South Park. If that's any indication of the quality I think they will be ok, but I fear it will just be a long Simpsons episode, where you keep forgetting what happened 15 minutes ago.

^ I don't think so. 2004 maybe, but not as far back as 2002.

But, it's not unusual for a teaser to be seen a year before the release. The same happened for the Godzilla remake (though, look how that turned out)
