Unaltered Star Wars Triology DVDs

Lucas's love of money finally gives us something good.

You know, when George 'The Flannel Tyrant' Lucas said he wasn't ever going to bring the real movies to DVD last year, I spent fifty bucks specially ordering the mega hard-to-find widescreen VHS trilogy that they put out back in 1995 (or whenevernot). So, against all odds, I'm not overly happy at this news.

I prefer the semi altered ones. And adding Haden Christi-somthin-or-other at the end of ROTJ was the single stupidest act anyone had ever done, ever, at any place, at any time in any dimension.

We actually have tapes of New Hope and Jedi (the latter was recorded off HBO), but I've never seen the unaltered Empire.

I've never seen any of the unaltered ones. I think I will rent these as I already own the 2004 box.

Me neither. I think it would be nice to see them, but I'm not buying them because they'll probably be released again next year for the 30th Anniversary with new features (like DELETED SCENES??)

I have the 1995 VHS box set.

You know, the differences aren't as big as people think they are.

CK mentioned not seeing the unaltered Empire Strike Back. Apparently that film is the LEAST changed of the special editions.

^Greedo shooting first is a HUGE difference. A small change, but a huge difference.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

Lame. I bought the altered ones on DVD. Now I have to trade in the crappy ones and get the good ones...

I'm pretty sure Greedo was in A New Hope.

Hayfever was referring to Gimpy's second statement. He knows Greedo's in A New Hope.

Yeah, Greedo isn't in any other movie anyway.

Let me clarify, Auron:

Gimpy said:

2. CK mentioned not seeing the unaltered Empire Strike Back. Apparently that film is the LEAST changed of the special editions.
Then Hayfever said:

In reference to statement 1., whereas you thought he was referring to statement 2.
