Thumbs down The Omen Movie

WTF?! Some kid is letting a lot of people die by the looks of the clip. Scary... looks like he might be the devil's son... talk about a way to rid the world of men...

^ I assume you have no idea that this film is a remake of a film made 30 years ago.

Anywho, trailer can be found at http://www.apple.com/trailers/fox/theomen/

EDIT: Due to the evil theme, the film is being released on June 6, 2006 (06/06/06 or 666), even though that date's a Tuesday

EDIT 2: Why does it seem that Pete Postlethwaite is always in these types of films?

The original was pretty good. Don't know about this one.

A criticism I've read (on AICN) is that you can tell that the kid is evil just by looking at him, while in the original you can't.

Yeah, I saw the trailer with X3 yesterday, and the kid really does look stereotypically evil.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

I think it's pretty clever how it'll be released on June 6 (6/6/06). However, I still don't like how they're remaking it; the original is a classic.

Yup this movie is better of being left as it was...although a cameo from Christopher Walken would be a nice cross over of the prophecy movies and the Omen.....

I'll be seeing it today for the hell of it, with a few friends. Gotta celebrate "devil day" somehow, might as well be a bad movie.

Seeing the boom mic in big-budget films is usually the theater projectionist's fault, not the filmmakers'. You should've promptly complained to an usher or manager.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

no...you don't understand. This microphone wasn't part of the movie theater. It was the actual microphone hovering at the top from the making of the movie. They didn't edit that out! I don't understand how that could've been the movie projectionist's fault. This isn't a big budget film and it's pretty obvious.

I don't pretend to know how movie projectors work, but I would guess CaptHayFever means that the projectionist probably showed the movie in the wrong aspect-ratio (i.e. the size of the picture on the screen)

Oh, I don't know about you, but $60 million sounds like big enough a budget me.

It's the projectionist's job to frame the film so that the mics don't appear. Once or twice is the filmmakers' fault. Anything more than that is the projectionist's fault.
