| Join Date: Nov 2001 Location: Toronto, ON, Canada Gender: Posts: 3,352 Thanks: 9 Thanked 45 Times in 35 Posts | Out of curiosity (and the fact that I had nothing else to do), I went to see the much-hyped documentary about Al Gore and Global Warming. I found it quite good. It's not really as alarmist as the trailers and posters lead you to believe, but it does give a pretty convincing look at the effects that global warming has had on the Earth (both in the present, and what may happen in the future). Also Al Gore uses quite a bit of humour in his lecture (such as using a clip from Futurama to better explain what exactly Global Warming is). Whether you agree or disagree with a arguments being made, this is definitely recommended viewing. (Note: Please keep all replies pertaining to the film itself. Any posts about your thoughts on Global Warming should probably go here) |
