| Condescending Film Jerk | Martial arts flims, anyone? I'm really starting to get into kung-fu flicks... both the artistic kind like Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, Hero, House of Flying Dragon and the more mainstream stuff like Enter the Dragon and Romeo Must Die. Anyone else here a fan? Any reccomendations? |

| Jackie Chan films (Most of the Dubbed stuff is good. "Snake in Eagles Shadow." "Drunken Master." Also his Mainstream "Rush Hour". "Who Am I?" Are okay) | |

Also the Once Upon A Time in China series is alright I would recommend the first and the third one because the second is a bit sluggish. hmmm I have a whole lot more incase you want something specific like Dragon Ball Z live action type stuff, I would suggest The Warriors of Zu Mountain and Legend of the Red Dragon with Jet Lee |

| Condescending Film Jerk | I've always heard that Jackie Chan was the best technical fighter since Bruce Lee died, but I've never really found any of his fighting scenes to be very memorable. Then again, I've pretty much only seen his American movies. I liked the Rush Hour movies, but that was mostly because of Chris Tucker. My friend might give me his copy of First Strike. I've heard that Drunken Master is hilarious. I've been trying to find a copy of the 36th Chamber for some time, along with Shaolin & Wu-Tang. RZA made them sound really good in the Wu-Tang Manual. There was another movie he wrote about that dealt with eight brothers going to war that sounded really good, but I don't remember what that one was called. Jet Li is probably my favorite actor at the moment. I've been wanting to see the Once Upon a Time in China series for a while now. I enjoyed Hero, The Legend, Fist of Legend, Romeo Must Die (although that was almost more of a gangster movie than a martial arts movie), and even Cradle to the Grave wasn't that bad. I'm not really into the Dragonball Z type stuff, doesn't interest me. I'll remember to see Iron Monkey. I've heard that Donnie Yen is really good, but I think I've only seen him in Hero. |

He's not as rawsome as Lee, but he makes up for it in the slapstick and improv aspects, as well as the stunts. First Strike is good (a sample), but I'd recommend Armour of God/Operation Condor first. Haven't seen Drunken Master yet, despite my best efforts. And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!" Last edited by CaptHayfever; 07-03-2006 at 01:36 PM. |

I've got a bunch of his movies and yea, he does a lot of great slapstick and stunts, but when he was younger he could really kick some ass. If you want memorable Chan fight scenes I'd suggest you check out The Young Master and his other earlier stuff to see what I'm talking about. |
