Worst. Movie Year. Ever.

I can only name two movies that I've seen all year that were any good. The Al Gore movie, and Snakes on a Plane (which I just saw). And I don't see anything good on the horizon.

What a crappy year.-jay

Little Miss Sunshine is very good. Or, at least, I think so.

But you are correct, there haven't been many movies that are too terribly interesting or appealing this year.

Clerks II ruled, and go ahead and mock me, but She's the Man was good too.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

She's The Man was nothing more than a typical teen romance movie, with a few funny moments to me. *shrugs*

I really liked Dead Man's Chest. Enough to see it twice.

There was Fullmetal Alchemist: Conqueror of Shamballa. ...Which had a very limited theater run, but was still awesome.

I liked The Pink Panther, I thought Ultraviolet was ok.

...Hated Superman Returns. Thought Cars was just more of the same.

Maybe next year will be better.

Am I the only person other than Jay who saw the Al Gore movie? The other movie I've seen that was good was the Inside Man.

And yeah, this year was dissapointing for movies. I expected Miami Vice to be good, especially because Jamie Foxx was in it. But it sucked. -CSM

I liked Dead Man's Chest, X-Men 3, the Inside Man and the Da Vinci Code and I really liked United 93.

It's true that it's not a great year (yet). I guess for you the biggest movie season is over (summer), but for me it is yet to come (around Christmas). Although most major movies get worldwide releases nowadays.

At the moment there are only two movies I'm looking forward to: Snakes on a Plane and Borat.

I don't think this year's movies were any worse than they always are. Hey, and at least we got 'V for Vendetta' and 'Dead Man's Chest' out of it.

The only movie I saw from this year was Dead Man's Chest, which I thought was pretty lame.

Where are these lemmings going? The Super Nintendo Super Shire! Hop in line and follow them there!

I was going to say V for Vendetta, but I checked IMDb and it's from 2005.

You mean the using the names and basic premise of a work of Shakespeare thing? Vaguely noticed it, still didn't care.

I count 'V for Vendetta' as a 2006 movie, because it was actually released to theatres in 2006. I don't count a one-week engagement at a single theatre in Texas as a full release, no matter whether the IMDB does.

Easy, I didn't see Clerks 2.

Heck, I never saw Clerks 1.

I saw the first third of V for Vendetta, and it looked really interesting. But I feel asleep, and didn't see the whole thing. I've been meaning to pick it up again sometime soon.

Personally, I thought Pirates 2: Dead Man's Chest was terrible. A typical crappy sequel.-jay
