Thumbs down The Grudge 2

I really hate saying I didn't like a movie. Especially when it was one that I was one I was looking forward too. But, I was really disapointed by the Grudge 2.

Let me list the ways (I have to include some spoilers):
  • First, let's start with the ghosts. They turned from pale grey to a cartoonly blue.
  • Colour not withstanding, the scares were weak, with some being laughable
Spoiler Below
  • The movie follows three plots. The main plot takes place shortly after the first film, while the other two takes place in the present day (dialogue reveals this in one plot and a connection reveals this for the other plot).
  • The subplots are basically only there to provide people to die and it really takes your attention away from the main plot.
  • That said, I can say that pretty much everyone with a speaking role dies in this movie, with the ending being much darker than the last one. It would have been the high point if it wasn't for the rest of the film.

Once again, I was really disapointed.

EDIT: After a few hours of contemplation, I decided that even though it IS a disapointing film, it was not as bad as I thought it was (just my disapointment made it seem worse). I still wouldn't consider it a good film, but I'll probably end up giving the film another shot on DVD.
