From the makes of Shaun of the Dead: Hot Fuzz

These are some funny teasers. I laughed at the blatant Shaun of the Dead reference in the second one.

Teaser 1: High Low

Teaser 2: High Low

As a big fan of both Spaced and Shaun of the Dead I'm really looking forward to this one. I actually don't know much about it other than that it's directed by Edgar Wright, written by Wright and Simon Pegg and stars Pegg and Nick Frost. Oh, and that they're policemen. That said, I really enjoyed these teasers and the Shaun reference was fried gold.

I expected it to be about Tribble-like creatures catching on fire.

The full trailer can be found here.

From the looks of it, this film spoofs slasher films in addition to cop films

After seeing Shaun of the Dead, I've been wanting to see Spaced. But it's a little difficult this side of the water.

Yes, there's only region 2 DVDs. If you've got a region-free DVD player you can order it on Amazon.co.uk. That's where I got my copy of the collector's edition with both series and a bonus DVD. It's absolutely brilliant.

This is one of my favourite bits:

Yes, and his character is a lot different from the one he plays in Shaun as well. His role in Space was actually the first time he acted. Simon Pegg and he are good friends, and Nick used to do an impression of a gun nut who's in the English Territorial Army (which means he will never see actual combat). Simon wrote the character into Spaced and he couldn't think of anyone to play it except Nick.

Saw it.

Personally, I thought it was a step down from Shaun of the Dead. I would say it's because it's a bit more of a complex story and the jokes of kind got lost (i.e. I did not laugh as much)

That said, I still really liked it!

I liked Shaun of the Dead lot. I only caught bits of Spaced while it air, but I didn't watch it alot (I usually channel hop while waiting for loading screens, I caught bits and pieces.)

Anyway, I saw a promo for this film at an Expo in London last year (In October, I think) Anyway they had Hot Fuzz Advert on a big board (and some other film on the other side (something to do with an Eye(Didn't pay attention that much, I was watching the hot girl dressed as Rikku))) and I thought I must go see this film.

I saw it last night. I actually liked it more than Shaun of the Dead, which I totally didn't expect. It's a pretty long movie for the type of film it is, but it didn't seem to drag anywhere, really.

I saw it a couple of weeks ago. Didn't like it as much as Shaun, but I still thought it was hilarious.
