| Condescending Film Jerk | I somewhat doubt many of you... if any of you at all... have seen or even heard of this movie, and all I can say is that you're missing out on an excellent film. It was made in 1973 in Japan, based off a popular series of manga of the same title. The plot and characters were one of the main inspirations for Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill, and in the end of the volume one he even plays tribute to this fact by using the song "Shura No Hana" (also known as "The Flower of Carnage," which was the theme to LS) at the end, in a scene very similar to a scene in Lady Snowblood. If you haven't seen this movie and you enjoy samurai flicks, revenge flicks, or if you want to see the origin of Kill Bill, I highly reccomend seeking the DVD of this film out. Here's the trailor (It's in Japanese without subtitles, but you can probably guess what the meaning of the movie is): Last edited by Sean P Kelly; 10-19-2006 at 07:01 AM. | ||

First one's better, but they're both worth watching. Right up there with the 'Zatoichi' movies, if I'm any kind of judge. __________________ Boo--the only dude bad enough to rescue the president |

| Condescending Film Jerk | I haven't seen the second one, but I'll probably eventually watch it. I thought the first one wrapped up the story perfectly, so I never understood why there was a sequel in the first place. I haven't seen any of the Zatoichi movies yet but I have one on DVR and I plan to watch it when I go home this weekend. |
