| Condescending Film Jerk | The Virgin Suicides Oh my god. I felt awkward throughout the whole film. I started having flashbacks of my own high school experience. I can't say I particularly enjoyed this film, but it is very well done. |

(Personally, I thought they were the cat's pajamas.) I saw 'Beverly Hills Cop II' for the first time earlier today. Thought it was pretty good. __________________ Boo--the only dude bad enough to rescue the president |

As for Oldboy, I thought it was great. Very brutal and violent, and maybe a bit hard to get into, but the ending was very satisfying. Great acting throughout. | |

I especially liked the fantasy parts (the Pale Man is one of the coolest movie monsters in history), but it really worked well combined with the World War II setting. |

| Condescending Film Jerk | Damn, I still haven't watched my copy of Oldboy yet. I'll have to do a double feature with Taxi Driver tonight. Edit: Taxi Driver Scorsese is easily my favorite American director, and this is probably my favorite film of his that I've seen so far... ... Okay, I actually liked The Departed better, but saying I liked this movie more seems more respectable. Last edited by Bomby; 04-03-2007 at 10:40 PM. |

The Last movie I watched was La Haine (The Hate). Highly reccomended, especially if you liked Cidade de Deus (City of God). |

| Condescending Film Jerk | ^ I actually liked Taxi Driver more than Raging Bull and Goodfellas. They're all really damn good movies, though. The Big Heat A bit dated, but still entertaining. Will watch either Oldboy or Chungking Express tonight. |
