| All I Ever Wanted Was To Pick Apart the Day & Put the Pieces Back Together My Way | Movie: Wheels on Meals Better than most Jackie Chan movies. Is it wrong that I like Yuen Biao more than both him and Sammo Hung? |

(By the way, 'Wheels on Meals' was the inspiration for the classic NES title 'Kung Fu'. Weird, eh?) I watched 'Oldboy' again last night. It gets better each time I see it. __________________ Boo--the only dude bad enough to rescue the president |

| All I Ever Wanted Was To Pick Apart the Day & Put the Pieces Back Together My Way | Fong Sai Yuk... In Cantonese! Much, much better and funnier than the English re-edit "The Legend." It's hilarious that they edited the movie to make it more family-friendly yet it still got an R rating. |

I think I watched about a dozen movies since I last posted, including the Back to the Future Trilogy, Rain Man, Ferris Bueler's Day Off, Gandhi, Das Boot, Once Upon a Time in America, The Exorcist, Dawn of the Dead (original) and The Last Emperor. |

| All I Ever Wanted Was To Pick Apart the Day & Put the Pieces Back Together My Way | Watched three movies today. I don't think I've ever done that before. First movie: The Usual Suspects The way the movie came together in the end was pure genius. I had it figured out probably a half-hour before the end, thanks to Jay-Z's "The City is Mine" video, but I was still entertained by every minute of it. I can only hope to match the complexity of how the plot comes together someday, if I was ever to make a movie... Definitely one of the best crime films I've ever seen. 2: Female Convict #701: Scorpion Not as shocking as I was expecting, after seeing two minutes of it on YouTube (which was one of the most shocking and explicit scenes) and hearing numerous reviews that greatly exaggerated the amount torture that are contained within this film. Maybe it was shocking in the 1970's for the amount of female toplessness throughout the film. I think I saw more nipples in this movie than I had ever seen in my entire life before hand, which isn't really either a good or bad thing, more just a fact of life. Kaji Meiko is a badass. 3: Female Convict Scorpion: Jailhouse 41 Not only is Kaji Meiko a badass, but she is also the greatest actress of all time, barring nobody. Despite the fact she plays the main character, she has only two lines of dialogue in this movie, occurring withing 30 seconds of each other. However, her performance is still absolutely mesmerizing (not to mention nightmare-inducing). I must also say, this is easily one of both the wierdest and most creative movies I've seen in my entire life. The use of color, while it pales in comparison to such modern movies as Hero, is brilliant, and definitely groundbreaking for it's time. I wasn't upset to see that the amount of torture and nudity was drastically cut down (it made me feel less guilty for watching it and allowed for more plot). |
