Totally excited for it. They have been my favorite band for a long time. Kyle and JB are different and beats the hell out of other bands.

Tenacious D is the band with Jack Black and Kyle Gass. They have a music video right now called "The Pick of Destiny" where they sing about their upcoming movie.

jack black is in it yes, but officially his band is in it. If you've ever heard any of their songs you'd realize he and kyle are actually funny....and talented. I do agree the other movies that jack black has been in did suck though.

School of Rock was indeed awesome, and I liked King Kong as well.

I think Tenacious D have some funny songs, but they're far from the best band ever. As Jack Black himself said, what he lacks in musical skill he makes up for with passion.

I've found that in most movies Jack Black is just playing himself, especially in music-related films like High Fidelity and School of Rock. The only exception I can think of is King Kong.

Based on the trailer, this movie will either be very funny or very dumb.

Either way, it's definitely meant not to be taken seriously.

On a side note, song-wise Tenacious D can be QUITE hilarious
