Ghostbusters 3 lives? - VGF

AICN is linking to an interview with Dan Akyroyd, where he says he working on getting, the long in development hell (at least 10 years now), third Ghostbusters film made as a CGI film.

There are two reasons for it being CGI:

It's the only way to get Bill Murray to come back
It allows Dan Akyroyd to include everything he wrote in the script, for a lot less money

Don't know for sure, but, based on the majority of his roles from the last decade, I think these days he perfers more serious roles.

I get the feeling that the only good that can come out of this is that somebody gets off their duff and releases Real Ghostbusters on DVD.

^ Actually there were 2 episodes of the cartoon on the Ghostbuster's 1&2 box set released in 2005.

But yeah, a full set would be nice.

An interesting thing looking at the cast is that relative unknowns are doing the voices of the turtles (basically they just got a bunch of voice-over actors), however the rest of the roles are done as celebrities (e.g. Sarah Michelle Gellar as April O'Neal and Patrick Stewart as the villain Max Winters).
