This is the first year I've ever had to think about who wins Best Picture.

I'm pulling for Abigail Breslin. She's such a talent at such a young age. I like Jennifer Hudson too, but Breslin carried Little Miss Sunshine, an incredibly difficult task for a 10-year-old.

I'm not watching until I get home (assuming my parents are DVRing it), but either way I'm hoping for Scorsese to finally get his best director Oscar. He deserves it.

Al Gore got a D in Natural Science in college. There's not a single paleoclimatologist in that movie, the only people properly accredited to speak about the planet's climate, probably because what they would say wouldn't support his message.

The only proper comparison between global warming and the Nazis was what CNN host John Beck said about the film:

If Scorcese gets jobbed (again) for Best Picture, there officially is no god. The only one I'll concede to is Babel. Iwo Jima was good, but not as good as those two. Little Miss Sunshine does not belong. Period.

I'm kinda pissed Melissa Etheridge won for best original song. Any song from Dreamgirls should have won - all were better written, and ten million times better performed by the cast. Melissa's song was horrible.

I liked more or less the whole list.

Except Pan's Labyrinth should have been best Foreign Language and Children of Men should have won an ass-ton of awards, Cinematography if nothing else.

It was a very hard to call Oscars this year. I only got 13 out of 24 predictions correct.

At least I correctly guessed all but one of the major six.
