Oh, the worst thing in the world has happened! It's the most horrible thing ever! Oh, the humanity! They... THEY... killed James Bond's wife! BWAAAAAAAHHHHH!!! They had just gotten married! THEY WERE ON THE WAY TO THEIR HONEYMOON! They were discussing how many children they'd have... And then Blofeld drove by and SHOT HER! ![]() They had all the time in the world... ---------- So, yeah. Use this thread to discuss the saddest movie scene you've ever seen. That part in On Her Majesty's Secret Service always gets my eyes welling... DON'T FORGET THE SPOILER TAGS. |

| Song 2 : Whoo Hoo | In the Mood for Love Maggie Cheung is late getting to Tony Leung and misses the opportunity to travel to Singapore with him. Idlewild Angel Davenport dies, Percival almost commits suicide over it after embalming her body. But the saddest moment I've ever seen in a movie easily goes to Boyz in the Hood Ricky dies... then his mom recieves his SAT scores. He needed a 700 to get into the university he wanted to go to on a football scholarship, and he got a 710. He was so nervous during the test, too. Then... he just suddenly got shot over some absolute bull****! There's a few rather depressing moments in Lady Snowblood, but it's more of that dry, empty feeling, not a bawl your eyes out cryfest. But the ease in empathizing with the main character is one of the things that makes Snowblood such a great film. |

A.I. I didn't realize it until repeat viewings, but the ending where David (Haley Joel Osment) receives only one day with his "mother" before she dies is heartbreakingly sad (especially consider all the trouble he went through to get that moment). |

That wasn't sad, but it made me want to cry, does that count? |

Peter O'Toole conveys heartbreak marvelously well. __________________ Boo--the only dude bad enough to rescue the president |
