Super Sentai series/Kamen Rider

this series is pure awsome! youtube has some subbed episodes up and honestly I love it.

for those of you who don't know what the Super Sentai series is, it's a action TV series from Japan that's been running since 1976 over there.

starting with Goranger which lasted for 2 years, the series focuses on a team of five heroes that, after goranger, changed from year to year with a specific theme each year. in '92 Zyuranger aired and became the basis for the series american counterpart Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.

now the Super Sentai series is a more mature show to it's american counter part with blood, death, bullets, and swearing. in fact, in Goranger the second yellow ranger gets killed while in active duty by one of the villains of the show.

oh almost forgot, from Goranger to Goggle V(5), the teams wore scarves after transformation. this is because of the high popularity of the Kamen Rider series, though the first season of Kamen Rider was created by the same man that created Goranger. in the early Kamen Rider shows, Kamen Rider wore a long red scarf after he transformed.

unlike the Super Sentai shows, which have a lighter tone to them, the Kamen Rider series has had a much darker tone to it since its creation.

I thought I'd put this up so fans of kamenrider and super sentai could discuss the shows because I don't think anyone here has made a topic for these shows yet.
