Looks good too However, I'm now confused about whether Chow Yun Fat's character is a bad guy (as originally stated) or a good guy (as the trailer suggests). While you're at the page, you should also check out the clip that shows the bickering to come. |

| I saved Latin! What did you ever do? | Chow Yun-Fat's English speaking roles have been hit or miss, but assuming his English has improved, he probably did a good job. It probably won't get him that Oscar, though. |

| Gunjinkeeper | It was awesome. Best movie to come out all this month, and as Sean said, the Climax was awesome. |

| JESUS SAID | I thought it could've been better, but it was still great. I liked this because it had more of an ending than DCM. When I saw DCM, I thought there was going to be another 30 minutes left. __________________ Panfan reranks VH1's Top 40 Metal Songs: http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/genme...topic=44740744 |

I agree. There was one point during the plot where I was like "um.... what the hell is going one right now?", but the last 3/4 of the film totally kicked major ass. Very nice! ![]()

| Super Bodyguard & King of the Arcade | Ehhh, it was ok. Am I the only one that liked the first installment the most? |

So, who's on what side for this five minutes of the movie? The last battle kicked much ass, though it's too bad to see that whole EIC armada just sit there. |

Don't wreck the movie for the people that didn't see it yet. Have some common courtesy. Thought it was hands-down better than the second one (which I thought was bad). Chow's role in it was a bit off IMO. I didn't really understand WTF he was doing right before he got the wrong end of a cannonball triggered spike. Don't get me wrong, I liked him, he was good for about 90% of it. I just lost him somewhere towards the end of his involvement. . I think my biggest issue with the plot was the whole Creepy voodoo lady they cribbed from Monkey Island being Davey Jones' lover AND some goddess. The best thing they did was have her essentially cause a malestrom and **** off instead of having a 40 foot rampaging voodoo lady. I liked the ending. Fishface is gone (thank god). Will and Elizabeth are together with a catch. Happy in a way, but really sad. Jack and Barbosa (and the crew) are still floating around. I mean, I liked the approach of the ending. It didn't do what so many other movies do, which is make everything end perfectly with butterflies and rainbows fluttering around the sunset as the characters skip hand-in-hand. This ends happy in a sense (elizabeth and will together) but sad in a sense (will too over Jones' job). Hits kind of close to home for anyone that's ever been in anything resembling a long-distance relationship. FYI if you haven't seen it yet: there is an easter egg at the end of the credits. Overall, I liked the first one more than the last two (I'd say 9/10 on the first one). Second one I thought was pretty bad because of a janky plot and too many blatent references to the first movie. Bad sequel-itus (refer to Shrek 3 for another example of this). I'd give pirates 2 a 6.5/10. The third one was really good, and it left the series open while closing off the series on the same hand. I'd give it an 8.5 out of 10, and I'll probably see it again (which I rarely do for any movie). It managed to capture the feel of the first movie without over-referencing it. It has its own life, and it's superior to 2 in every way. Last edited by Sean P Kelly; 05-27-2007 at 08:29 AM. |

And once they were done with him, they killed him. BTW, what did everybody think about Keith Richards', much hyped, cameo? EDIT: Here's my thoughts on the cameo: It seems that in order to fit the character of Jack Sparrow's father into the story, they just took the "Keeper of the Code," which could have been anybody, and added a few lines to him referencing him as Jack's father. It was good though. Last edited by Sean P Kelly; 05-27-2007 at 09:47 AM. |

| Gunjinkeeper | My nephew kept calling him Blackbeard, had no idea who it was, and I had to sit there and explain the whole idea of having Keith Richards make a cameo. |

Not to mention they pretty much dressed him up like Blackbeard. The only thing missing was the burning hemp in the beard trick. And what exactly did you edit in my last post? |

It was nothing near what it could have been, the action wasnt as good, and I just didnt like it too much. So I defently think that PotC 2 is still way better than the third. NOt to mention the final battle sucked soooooooooooooooooooooo much. |

No. It's a good enough ending. Just because it has a little cliffhanger ending doesn't mean Disney needs to milk it for more than its worth. They'd also have to write characters in and out without creating plotholes.
