Spider-Man 4,5, and 6 confirmed

Quote:
At the Los Angeles press junket today, Spider-Man 3 director Sam Raimi confirmed that Sony Pictures is doing a 4th, 5th and 6th installment of the popular franchise.

We'll have his exact words shortly, but Raimi said that he hasn't had time to think of any involvement and he doesn't want to presume Sony would want him to direct.

He said there has to be a good story to tell and that "it'd be very hard to say goodbye to 'Spider Man.'"

If I remember correctly, that was the rough plan the whole time.

No, no. 1, 2, and 3 will all be renamed and renumbered to 4, 5, and 6. Then 4, 5, and 6 will all be released as a 'prequel' trilogy.

^ If you're referencing Star Wars, the series was NEVER re-named or re-numbered. It's just they emphasised the numbers and names more for continuity reasons.

Though to be fair, it wasn't until after Empire Strikes Back came out that they added "Episode IV: A New Hope" to the original movie.

^^Yeah, so that one was renumbered from 1 to 4.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

The prequels aren't as horrible as everyone thinks.

Sure, it's got emo Anakin, but everything else is fine.

You're kidding, right? Those movies were abysmal, especially considering that everyone else that handled the franchise (crossing books, graphic novels/comic books, and video games) produced better stories and better history and generally didn't bastardize it as bad as Lucas did withe eps. I, II, and III.

If you think they were good, you're a damn fool.

The lightsaber fight at the end of Episode 1 was awesome, though. The Jango Fett v. Kenobi fight on Kamino wasn't to shabby either.

And they were strung together by a contrived and horrificly mapped plot.

I'm sorry, but I'm a sucker for giant space battles/land battles.

I'll admit I didn't really like Episode 1, but 2 and 3 were fine.

I enjoy looking at a nice pair of tits, but i'm not going to sit through that god awful movie Showgirls to see them. 6.5 minutes of good battle scenes don't make up for 6.5 hours of crap.
