I rented the first movie a few months ago and was bored stiff. Needless to say, I have no interest in seeing the two sequels.

I love it. ^^ Parts are not so good, parts are so-so, but wow. @_@ Overall, it's great.

I won't go quite as far as MM, but I'm pretty much in the same boat as him. Saw the first one, thought it was decent, but could never figure out how people fell in love with it.

ACTULLY funyn question... me and my friends believe that the Matrix is the Bible re-written and upto date.. obviously. might you ask why, our basis of theory is why is Neo always refered to someone like crist.. and then he becomes the sacrificial Lamb. ..

It was pretty entertaining. My main problem was that they tried to make it seem really deep, but the fact is it was just a bunch of miscellaneous religious references, special effects, and violence.

Not my favourite Trilogy. I liked the first part (though I didn't think it was THAT great), but the sequels were subpar.

I also noticed that there are a lot of comparisons between Neo and the Messiah.

Oh, and Keanu Reeves is a lousy actor.

The first one is a sci-fi masterpiece. Great story and special effects - has an effect on this generation that 2001: A Space Odyssey had in the last. The second one was good, but lacked the sense of discovery that the first one had. Third one seemed unfinished and lazy - I still liked it, but it didn't properly conclude a great story. Way too many unanswered questions and things introduced in the second to call it finished.
