That stuff is a spectacle to watch. To give this topic some legs, you can either talk about how awesome that fight is or present an alternative choice. You will of course be wrong. ![]() |

The whole point is that Kareem Abdul-Jabbar looks real, and is a more-than-capable martial artist, but compared to Lee he looks like a freaking Ent. |

| Condescending Film Jerk | Gordon Liu >>> You Bruce vs. Kareem is definitely top 5 of all time... but I far prefer Gordon Liu vs. Lo Lieh in Clan of the White Lotus, Jet Li vs. Billy Chow in Fist of Legend, or the final fight in Shaolin and Wu-Tang. And if anyone wants to contest me, I can pretty much guarantee I've seen more martial arts movies than all of you. Combined. Except for maybe Joker. |

Game of Death is my all time favorite Bruce Lee movie. Also wyborn have you ever seen a movie that stars Bruce Lee but he's dressed in an 16th century Chinese garb, complete with long pony tail and all ?? I caught a small snippet of it one time that some one showed me but they couldn't recall the name of the movie. And I have also seen a still shot of him in full costume but can't find what movie it was from. And hell yeah Gordon Liu vs. Lo Lieh was a masterpiece. I also like the ending when Shoalin and Wutang team up to whoop some major ass on that damned Manchurian Prince. Also Eight-Diagram Pole Fighter is one of the best displays of a martial arts master using a staff or bo. Last edited by Joker; 07-19-2007 at 03:34 PM. | |

| Condescending Film Jerk | Some interesting facts about Bruce Lee... Bruce Lee only completed four movies in his life: The Big Boss (a.k.a. Fists of Fury) Fist of Fury (a.k.a. the Chinese Connection) Way of the Dragon (a.k.a. Return of the Dragon) Enter the Dragon Game of Death uses only about 20-25 minutes of the real Bruce Lee. The rest is a lookalike, which is why you never see a closeup of his face. Another interesting tidbit is that Kareem Abdul-Jabbar was actually a student of Lee's. Any other film that has is purported to star Bruce Lee is likely an imitator - and believe me, there were tons. The three biggest fake Bruce Lee's were Bruce Le, Bruce Li, and Dragon Lee. These have since been dubbed "Bruceploitation" films. In fact, Jackie Chan was originally marketed as the second coming of Bruce Lee, before finding his own niche with the kung-fu comedy genre. Bruce Lee actually "kills" Jackie Chan in Enter the Dragon. Jackie appears twice in the film: first, as one of the thugs chasing Lee's sister, and later as one of Han's thugs in the underground lair. |

It would've been easy, but it also would've been completely stupid. ^I actually knew all of that. By the by, have you ever seen They Call Me Bruce? and They Still Call Me Bruce? (The question mark is in the first title, but not the second.)And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!" |

Thats the one with Bruce Lee himself in the period clothing with the long ponytail. In the still shots of him he's trying on the different costumes he was going to wear for that movie. They only filmed a few fight scenes before the movie was scraped. I've spent nearly four years searching for footage of that movie and I still don't know what the name was going to be either so that makes it even harder. |
