With Transformers this week and Harry Potter next week (both of which I'm seeing -- Potter in IMAX), I would say that's the end of the major must-see films of the summer. So, I will list the rest of the films I have my eye on (you can do the same) July

| I saved Latin! What did you ever do? | You considered Transformers "must see?" I'll probably end up seeing Rush Hour 3. I actually kind of miss Chris Tucker, and Jackie Chan has a tendency toward great stunts, completely CGI free. Last edited by Bomby; 07-05-2007 at 10:43 AM. |

I don't think I've ever seen as much films in the cinema as this summer (or rather from May till now). I've seen Spider-Man 3, Pirates of the Carribean: At World's End, Fracture, Death Proof, Ocean's Thirteen, Shrek the Third and Die Hard 4.0. I'm going to see Transformers this weekend or Monday. As for the rest of the summer: July - August The Simpsons Movie Planet Terror Ratatouille (maybe) September The Bourne Ultimatum That's it. Rush Hour 3 isn't due until October, and I don't care about the rest. |

Really want to see: Live Free or Die Hard Hairspray Across the Universe License to Wed Lower-priority: Shrek the 3rd Ratatouille Order of the Phoenix ....Grindhouse (as long as I've already missed the theater run, I might as well chill out about the rental) And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!" | Super Bodyguard & King of the Arcade | Hmm, I'm up for whatever, but at the moment I'd like to see Live Free or Die Hard and an upcoming movie Vantage Point (It's got Matthew Fox from Lost AND Forrest Whittaker, an amazing actor). License to Wed doesn't look too bad either, Robin Williams is in it so it has to be at least mildly funny. |

I saw the preview for Mr. Bean when I went to see Evan Almighty (Which wasn't NEARLY as good as Bruce Almighty), and I was like, "Wtf, a new Mr. Bean movie?" I love Mr. Bean. It looks hilarious. Also, the Simpsons movie didn't sound that appealing, but after seeing the preview, I also want to see it. Marge: How did the pig tracks get on the ceiling? Rescue Dawn (If they give it a wide opening...just in NY and LA right now) Sunshine August: The Bourne Ultimatum Rush Hour 3 Stardust The Last Legion (maybe) The Hottest State (possibly) The Invasion (Maybe...might suck. Who knows?) Death Sentence (Again, maybe. These are the ones that're interesting enough for me to check reviews on when they comes out) The Nines (I just found this one. "A troubled actor, a television show runner, and an acclaimed videogame designer find their lives intertwining in mysterious and unsettling ways."? I'm hooked. Tell me more) September: (All a maybe except Jesse James, Across the Universe and The Kingdom) Fierce People Shoot Em Up The Signal The Brave One Dragon Wars Eastern Promises The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford Cover Good Luck Chuck Across the Universe The Kingdom The Darjeeling Limited Wow...now that I actually go through and look, that is a lot of movies. Of course, a lot of them are limited releases that I'll never get to see. I really ought to move to New York or LA...I'll just end up netflixing them, if nothing else. All the ones I marked as maybes or some such, they're interesting, and as they get closer I'll check reviews and examine the trailers, and decide if I want to see them. And I know I kind of avoided comedies...it's not really my genre. I don't mind them, but it seems to me that it's easier for a comedy to be really good or really bad. So I tend to assume the worst until I know different. I never really find myself looking forward to comedies. | |
