Hairspray

Was excellent. A whole hell of a lot better than "Dreamgirls" that's for sure. With better singing/dancing/acting. Overall, it was extremely enjoyable, even for people who normally don't like movie musicals. Really hilarious.

I saw the original Broadway show.

Is it just me or do they always get this superattractive person to play Penny Pingleton? (here they got Amanda Bines from my childhood) -CSM

^^Bynes.

I hate going to opening weekend on any film, but I'll see it sometime next week.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

^ Although I liked Jackson more in Pulp Fiction, Travolta was the only one to play a major part in all three storylines.

But this is about Hairspray.

^ Yes. There was supposed to be a Vega Brothers movie, but Tarantino waited too long to write it and Michael Madsen and John Travolta got too old.

So anyway, I saw Hairspray last night. It rocked out.
Fun Fact: 10:30 midweek showings don't have the obnoxious 12-year-old girls in attendance who I hear have been plaguing many Hairspray screens.

And remember, "Chuck Norris can stop the beat."
