I like Jason Statham movies for the sheer escapist lunacy. I like Jet Li movies for the technical martial arts badness. This can be only good! Thoughts? |

| Song 2 : Whoo Hoo | Four words: WOOT WOOT WOOT BITCH. I'll be in theaters. Sadly, it'll probably be better than the Jackie Chan/Jet Li collaboration, which looks to be a disaster. |

| Song 2 : Whoo Hoo | Jackie Chan can still kick ass and do stunts that I would never dare try. The real difference is that the Chan/Li movie is going to be aimed at younger audiences. |

Yeah, Jackie Chan can kick ass, but he's at a point where I watch it and I have trouble believing it. Don't know why, but I do. I actually have no idea what this movie is about, except that it involves Jet Li, Jason Statham, and fancy cars. That is enough. |

| Song 2 : Whoo Hoo | I find it interesting that it's directed by Philip Atwell, whose resume mostly consists Dr. Dre & his proteges' videos. Cory Yuen is choreographing, which means there will likely be an abundance of wires. Hopefully, not too many, though. I've been underwhelmed by his stateside work. Then again, Sammo Hung and Lau Kar Leung can't do every movie. |

| Song 2 : Whoo Hoo | ^ I'm actually not as anti-wire-fu as most enthusiasts of martial arts films, but it has to be done right. I thought Yuen Wo-Ping's choreography of Once Upon a Time in China II, The Tai Chi Master and Iron Monkey were all excellent, despite the copious quantities of wires being used. For some reason, this seemed the right place to put that I just saw that today is Yuen Biao's birthday on allmovie.com. Last edited by Bomby; 07-27-2007 at 02:52 PM. |
