To be fair, I don't know all that many Beatles songs, although I like the ones I do know. I'm guessing it'd be a lot different if I did. |

Either way, I won't be able to see it onscreen unless it stays up 'til Thanksgiving or opens in Kirksville. And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!" |

| PUDDING TIME! | I'm listening to Bono's cover of I Am the Walrus. Damn, I need to see this movie. __________________ "You're the music expert, you're always right" - March |

It's a very uneven film: Some scenes are sheerly amazing; some barely work at all. The montage at the beginning is just stupid. Cast is great, though. Bono plays a narcissistic charlatan masquerading as a master guru....so he didn't really have to act much. And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!" |

Capt. is right about that wave montage in the beginning being stupid. Also, while I was initially pleased to see Eddie Izzard, his ad-libs in Being For the Benefit of Mr. Kite got annoying. I liked the music and the cinematography, as well as the characters themselves, but I thought the story was relatively weak. |

Loved him; the graphics were kinda weak there, though. The best scene is easily "With a Little Help from My Friends." And remember, "I'm-a Fred Savage, number one!" |

Maybe it's just that I really like the original recording of that song and it was one of the ones that sounded the least like the original. I wouldn't say easily. "I've Just Seen A Face," "Let it Be," and "Happiness is a Warm Gun" were all great. |

But "Little Help" was the best one. On the flipside, "I Wanna Hold Your Hand" was really lame. And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!" |

Gender: Posts: 6,304 Thanks: 103 Thanked 272 Times in 171 Posts | I liked it, but I don't see where it stands out as being the clear best one. "I Wanna Hold Your Hand" fell pretty flat, yeah. It was kinda cute how all the characters were named after Beatles songs. Jude, Lucy, Max(well), Prudence, Dr. Robert, Sadie, and JoJo (ok, so JoJo might not be a song title, but he's in the lyrics of "Get Back") |

But yeah, it was definitely one of the worst. Come on, "I Want You" had by far the best scene. I also loved the one for "Strawberry Fields Forever." For some reason, "With A Little Help From My Friends" isn't on the soundtrack. Neither is the first song ("Hold Me Tight" is it?) or a few of the others, but that one sticks out.
