Well, he finished filming, so he'll still be the Joker. And from what I've seen, he'll be an amazing one at that.

I've been reading some articles about his death and it seems that in the past year he was getting stressed out my his films, especially The Dark Knights (which apparently involved a lot of method acting) and had trouble sleeping.

And he was found with a bottle of sleeping pills.

It's not official until after the autopsy, but I would guess it was an accidental overdose caused by the stress of work.

^Yeah, they were suspecting overdosage. I think this Joker is going to be the best, maybe beating ol' Jack. His death is very sad, he was an amazing actor.

In my haste I worded the title of this topic wrong (thanks to the mod that adjusted that), I meant that once the movie came out to the public he would have been seen as a great Joker. As a big comic book geek I was able to get a boot leg copy of the movie two weeks ago (w/o many of the CGI effects added in yet) and I was amazed at his interpretation of the Joker. He chose a more satanic madness rather than try to improve on the perfection that was Jack Nicholson’s performance.
