I have to say this, when the series first started I was scared that the actors were going to outgrow the roles before they could adapt all seven books (especially since three were, at the time, yet to be written).

But now, even though the actors DID outgrow the roles by a few years, the end is in sight and with the exception of the late Richard Harris being replaced by Michael Gambon in the third film, the series will have a perfect cast continuity.

Just tell me it's longer than the Order of the Phoenix film was. I'm not in the mood for another sprinting, fanservice data-dump; I want to see an actual narrative.

I agree ,it was annoyingly short,but from what I know,they fixed that and a few other problems.
So far I like the dark feeling of it.
I'm anything but the series' biggest fan,so I don't know much about the actual book series.
In fact,I think I've only read one of the books.

I'll keep researching.

Return of the King was done the way a fantasy movie should be done. The last Harry Potter movie ruined what was my favorite of all the books (until Book 7). -CSM

The shortest of the films based on what was at that point the longest of the books. I'm referring to density, not just raw clock time, Sean.

Maybe they can put everything in there if they make a 4 1/2 hour marathon like the LotR director's cuts. Probably not going to happen, but it would make for a nice DVD/Blu-Ray release.

I have a feeling that the actors will be in their late 20s by the time they finish this. Luna Lovegood's actress will probably end the thing at the right age (considering that in OotP she looked way too young to be in Ginny's year).

Neville's actor in particular is going to become frightening.... -CSM
