The news is just as bad as it is old.

It's a smart idea, though, seeing how popular it is...

This would only really be bad news if the film tops the box office opening weekend and beats Saw V.

^^ Oh, that's going to happen.

What we need to worry about is if it becomes the best-selling movie ever.

Because box office receipts are definitely the ultimate deciding factor of a film's quality.

It doesn't have a broad enough appeal to become the best selling film of all time.

I know that.

I'm saying that if it does, humanity is already dead.

You know other than trying to make back the cost it took to make the film, the box office doesn't really mean much these days.

They keep going on about records and such, but truth is, when you keep increasing the number of screens and the price of the tickets, what do you expect is going to happen?

I still can't believe that it was a little over a decade ago when I paid half of what I pay now.

Personally, I've always thought the Korean box office receipts - measuring the number of tickets sold instead of amount of money the film made - was a much more accurate picture of film going trends. I mean, yeah, movies are grossing a lot of money these days, but since TV came out, not as many people have attended.

Lolz, I talk about TV like it's brand new

HSM isn't very big here, from what I've seen. Oh, sure, we get the movies and the merch, but there's just less in the way of obsession. I'm glad, because it's rose horrible.

Once upon a time, the Disney Channel made a TV movie about a bunch of kid singing in a high school. It was later released on DVD and became a big success.

They then decided to make another film about the kids singing on summer vacation. It was a bigger success.

Now they are releasing the new adventure theatrically, where the not really kids anymore will be sing at a basketball game.

And stuff like that.

I decided to watch the first two, and they are both really good. I can't believe I haven't heard of them before. I'll definitely see this next one too.
