It's nothing new for games to be optioned for a film and then end up in development hell.

I remember hearing about plans for a Doom movie about a full decade before they finally made it.

The only one on that page I cared about was Castlevania. Now a Metal Gear/Zelda movie, that's good movie material. A series needs something substantial to draw from and that's why books make good movie and video games make crappy one. It's not cause games don't have substantial story, it's because they pick the ones that don't. Here comes the Tetris movie. Awesome.

^^ Yeah, they really ****ed the Doom movie up. Besides, basing it off the first two games' universe would be more interesting than any sort of ****ty Doom 3 adaptation.

The cancelation was in fact a rumor.
So why is it not on the list?
