yes, they are making a cowboy bebop movie.

but here's the bad thing about that. Fox has the license and Keanu Reeves is the person they've chosen to be Spike.

I read this. I swear to god, I will murder someone if Keanu actually gets to play Spike. However, Fox only has the licensing rights; there's no script as of yet, no writers, producers, anything (and Reeves has not been officially signed to the role). Depending on DBZ, this very well may be a project that never leaves the ground - which would make me kind of happy, honestly, as I love Bebop and Spike too much to see Keanu rape and pillage the awesoeness that comprises it. :/

Seriously,It was like a fire of hatred engulfed the page.It was kinda cool.

Reeves might be able to do it,but not if he plays it like he does EVERY OTHER F**KN ROLE HE'S EVER F**KN PLAYED.
Even the friggin scholar in dracula,he was like ,"So what are you saying?He can take a bullet."

I'm not incredibly familiar with the show,but what ive seen,shows that he prolly wont play it well.

^Keanu would maul Spike Spiegel. And it's a shame, because Spike is the epitome of badass.

Ugh, dammit, further investigation reveals that they finally did find a script writer and producers. Dammit.

Maybe Lee Pace - he's got the tall, gangly physique of Spike down, he's the same age as Spike, and he's actually a terrific actor. Here:

The thing people forget about Spike is that, while he seems lackadaisical and almost emotionless, he's quite the opposite. He's got a very wry wit and style, and the actor playing him has to be able to convey that he's not emotionless, just that he hides his emotions - I say that I believe 100% Keanu is completely incapable of doing that. Lee Pace, however, can totally pull it off.

Honestly, I wouldn't mind a live action Bebop - I just think Keanu as Spike ruins it.

I just know that they'll probably strip it of everything that made the anime so memorable, like they always do.

It's amazing, Lee Pace looks a lot like Spike (even more so than Keanu); he's got the long face and his hair can totally be molded into Spike hair.

Clive Owen should play Spike, because who's more badass than Clibe Owen? Bruce Willis could be a good Jet in one of his better moments. As far as Faye goes, there's a Korean actress named Jeon Ji-Hyun who could pull her off well, but I might change my mind depending on how her first English-language performance is in Blood: The Last Vampire.

I heard someone suggest Megan Fox for Faye. I promptly stabbed them in the spleen. If I don't post for a while, it means I'm in jail.
