Drag Me to Hell

I saw the film yesterday and if I can say one thing, it's a testament to how much you can get away with a PG-13 rating these days.

Let me list some of the ways:
Spoiler Below

Evil gypsy woman gets staples to the face and a ruler shoved down her throat
Blood shoots out of Alison Lohman's nose all over her boss
Anvil falls on evil gypsy woman's head causing eyes to shoot out
Possessed cake, grows an eye, eats a fork, and bleeds over the table
Fans of cute kittens will be calling PETA after the film

I would say that you would find the film enjoyable if you liked the campy horror of the Evil Dead films. It was a fun film.

I'm not much of a horror person, outside of a precious few that have really impressed me (The Exorcist, The Shining, A Tale of Two Sisters, Audition). However, the good reviews this is receiving have piqued my interest.

It's also nice to finally see that there's a new American horror film that isn't a watered-down remake of a superior original.
