Toy Story 3

Toy Story 3 is Pixar's next feature film, and the second sequel to their original movie Toy Story, to be released June next year. It'll feature the same voice actors as the previous movies, with Tom Hanks and Tim Allen reprising their roles as Woody and Buzz, respectively.

The story synopsis so far:
Quote:
Woody , Buzz, and the rest of their toy box friends are dropped off in a children's day-care center when their owner, Andy (now a young adult) departs for college.
Makes sense, seeing as it's been almost 15 years since the original Toy Story was release. I can't wait for this movie, and I have a feeling it's going to make me cry like a bitch.

Story sounds appropriate for the series. If I recall correctly, a big part of 2 was Andy's gradual grow.

It was announced a while back (about two years). I remember that one time while looking up upcoming movies, on wikipedia, it said that they were still trying to figure out a plot.
Over to the side it showed (what seemed to be ) a real CG concept drawing of some store shelves with the buzz lightyear dolls having a long strip of tape over them saying, "RECALL".

Apparently they dropped the idea.

Still can't wait for this movie. The first was one of my favorite childhood movies.

^ Yeah, they dropped the whole Buzz recall idea.

And they announced it a while back with the next few movies they were going to be producing, including a sequel to Cars scheduled for 2011.

I'm kinda dissappointed that theydropped the recall Idea, to me it seemed like they couldget alot out of that storyline. though I definetly intend to see it once it comes out. Who knows maybe Pixar can make a grand story out of the daycare idea.

This movie is too late for me to be interested. Way too late. And now I feel old.

Toy Story 2 was one of the only sequels to surpass the original movie in my opinion.

If they **** up the whole series with this movie I'm gunna cry buckets, as corporate hollywood screws my childhood with a baselard.

I wouldn't worry, Pixar pretty much has a perfect track record thus far.

That's means nothing Val, while I don't think the toy story 3 will be bad per say, the problem is it won't bealbe to stand up to boththe memories of it's predisessors, and the high expectations of Pixar fans.

Toy Story 2 did a pretty good job.

I'm not really worried.

I'm psyched. Pixar seems to just get better and better with each offering.

What?! 15 Years? I didn't know I was that young when the original came out.

Seeing as I'm 21, this isn't something I'd admit to people I know personally, but I wouldn't mind seeing this when it came out.

I still want to see The Incredibles too... X.X

I maintain there is absolutely no shame in enjoying Pixar movies. All of my 21-year-old friends and up do.

^I just watched 'The Incredibles' again today. It's brilliant, and there's plenty of stuff in it for an older audience (including an homage to 'Watchmen').
