I've got two real winners to start us off: Midnight Run 2 (why, De Niro, why?????) and a totally pointless, probably PG-13 rated remake of Police Academy. |

Look at Friday the 13th. The first movie was about a chick avenging the death of her son by killing campers. Normal slasher film. The sequel was about her son somehow surviving his death as a child and killing campers. The next film, he's a zombie who keeps coming back to life. Eventually, we have Jason X, which features Jason killing people aboard a space station in the year 2455. This seems to happen with a lot of horror movies, as well as others. By the way, did you know a seventh Saw film is coming out this year? |

I'll see if I can find the article... |

"The Pink Panther Strikes Again" was pretty out there and "Revenge of the Pink Panther" is probably the weakest of that point, but they're still funny. The first one after Sellers' death, "Curse of...", bordered on disrespect for the dead. (although "Son of..." was good). The ones with Steve Martin aren't as horrible as some say, but they're far from classics. |

The original was an extremely intelligent, multi-layered black satire of both the South Korean and American governments. I'm pretty sure the American remake will be... just some monster movie. The only appealing thing from the original that I see them keeping would be the family. Thankfully, it appears to be stuck in development hell. |

Also, I thought I heard a rumor from a guy that there were going to be 3 more installments to the National Treasure series but that sounds too farfetched for me. |

B) Scream 4? Really? No one's gonna see it. C) Austin 4 was announced almost immediately after Goldmember; that one's no surprise. And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!" |

B. No one'll see it, but that sure doesn't stop Hollywood from trying. C. A fourth Austin Powers movie has been rumored for ten years, but this is the first time there's been some actual, concrete information about it. Up until now, it's been about as believable as that stupid Vega Brothers movie everyone thinks Quentin Tarantino is making. | |
