the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo

Just saw it, it was a pretty awesome thriller. Very brutal, though, wouldn't recommend to anyone with a weak stomach. The story threads were very strongly distilled, I think. Aside from the opening sequence, which is basically an impressively artistic yet disconnected music video, most of the photography was very straightforward and purpose-built, although quite a few scenes and settings were well chosen. I'm rather interested in the novel series, now having seen the film.

Being squeamish, I've been told it might not be the best idea for me to see the movie. I might stomach it, though, because I've heard lots of good things.

You seeing it and liking it isn't something I would imagine taking place, bud. If you'd like to try to appreciate it all the same, I wouldn't discourage it, but it's not just violence for the sake of suspense or drama, you know? It's very direct and very honest, with no allusion.

I haven't seen the American one, but I liked the other three. Has anyone seen both? I'm curious how they compare.

^^We'll see. I definitely won't go out of my way to watch it, but I don't suppose I'll say no to it if offered.

I still haven't gotten around to the original three, which I've been meaning to watch since they came out. I'm interested in the American remake, too, since David Fincher is one of the best directors in Hollywood right now and I'm pretty sure I'll enjoy Trent Reznor's score.

I have an incredibly weak stomach but am still very interested in seeing this. My stomach can suck it up for the sake of a good film. Just need to get some frandz to see it with, because I've been legitimately interested for a while and the people who have told me it was good are people whose opinions I generally value and agree with.

And no, not just because it has the word Dragon in the title.although that is a factor

I'm waiting until I read the novel before watching the film...which may not be the best idea apparently? Anyway, I'm pretty excited about the score. =3
