Bastard. |

EDIT: On an obsurvational note, I'm not too crazy about this new "DualDisk" system. There's a disclaimer on them that the CD side will not work on all players, and I don't like that. I would prefer a seperate DVD instead of a joint CD/DVD. [ June 14, 2005, 01:00 PM: Message edited by: Gimpy ] |

Even then, Dualdisc only has its benefits if the extras are actually good. The two Nine Inch Nails albums I have on Dualdisc are amazing because they have a 5.1 surround sound mix on the DVD side, making them completely worth it. When looking at other Dualdisc releases, they tend to only have things like interviews (who cares) and the music video for the pre-release single (who cares). Its one of those formats you have to be selective with, you know? They won't put it on a separate disc for several reasons (trying to prevent piracy and expense for one). I don't even think its a true "NEW FORMAT," but I like it better because unlike the competing SACD, I can just pop the disc into my 5.1 setup and listen to a cooler feature than just slightly higher audio quality. Plus SACD players are still overpriced. | |
