AI, I beg to differ, I've been a fan of Tool for some time now since the release of Aenima (so I can justify my arguement, showing that im not one of these mainsteam listeners of Tool) My opinion is that Lateralus is a better Album, in that it flows better; the flow makes it a better album, although only haveing a few really good songs "The Grudge," "Ticks And Leeches," and "Lateralus" But overall its the flow of this album which makes it better. Now on the other hand, My favorite all time song comes from the album Aenima, which is "Aenima" I think that that album is really good too of course, but there isnt any flow and there are too many filler tracks, whcih makes it go down in "bestdum." Aenima has better individual songs.. every one of the songs on that album are for the most part better than most of there material. anyhow.. if you see the point, and if you see why i was bored enough to write a responce to that... aashlwoooah!

Neko^^
I just didn't really enjoy many of the songs on Lateralus, although I admit that Schism was the first thing I heard off it and soured my opinion. Either way, I can see your point. I suppose my appreciation for single songs is in some ways greater than that of the flow of an album, because thats not the way songs are displayed. Songs are cut off, and relegated to their own individual pieces, so if I see that a song doesn't stand well on its own then I don't believe that it makes as much of an impact

Good Argument, I think singles are more important when you think about them getting more popularity. Like you say, you prefere the single songs, and thats perfect on Aenima. ^_^;
Even so.. Aenima is really good ^_^;

Just picked up 'Music for the Jilted Generation' by the Prodigy. It was sorely missing from my collection.

You know, it was just the 10th aniversary of that album. Still waiting on another from the T-man since the Fragile.

The Fragile is coming in the mail. If I like it, I'll get Broken and Pretty Hate Machine. Bleedthrough's supposed to be coming out next year, I heard.

"Winning Days" by The Vines. It's not a classic, but it'll do.

the Fragile is an awesome album. Just next to Downward Spiral on my list. Its one of those where it takes a while for you to like it, but it can really grow on you. Just so you're warned, Fixed and Further Down the Spiral are very experimental. Fixed is pretty much considered the least of the NIN discs, and Further Down the Spiral is cool, but its sort of something you have to be willing to hear to like, if that makes any sense. Things Falling Apart is the best of the remix albums, IMO. Perfect Drug Versions is good if you like jungle electronica, because it really has a lot of that sort of style going on.
