I'm assuming you heard "She's Gonna Break Soon," which doesn't have horns. Even bands like RBF do horn-free songs every now and then. Listen to "Plastic Cup Politics," which not only has horns aplenty, but is also a great song (they opened with it). Both JR (trombone) and Buddy (sax) were there. Curious thing is, they didn't even play "She's Gonna Break Soon." Oh well, it's not their best song anyway. The LTJ concert was last month, and RBF was 3 months ago. Yeah, I love Catch 22 and Streetlight Manifesto's variation. Well, SM seems to do it a bit more. "Here's to Life" rules. And who can forget the legendary "Keasby Nights" chorus? Oh, come on. You HAVE to love "Monkeys." That's my favorite song on that album. Give it a chance and it'll grow on you like hell. Also, you should check out their "Just One More" album, considered their best. Well, "This Holiday Has Been Cancelled" is considered their best release, but that's an EP and it only has 5 songs. Check out any of the following albums by MMB: "A Jackknife to a Swan," "More Noise and Other Disturbances," "Pay Attention," and "Question the Answers." They broke up at the beginning of this year, which sucks cause now I don't get to see them. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Quote of the week: "I went to a fight the other night and a hockey game broke out."- Rodney Dangerfield. ![]() Pointless fact of the week: The word “trivia” comes from the Latin "tri-" + "via", which means three streets. This is because in ancient times, at an intersection of three streets in Rome, they would have a type of kiosk where ancillary information was listed. You might be interested in it, you might not, so they were bits of “trivia." |
