Then again, Frank Zappa was like number 60 something on their crappy chart, so it shows how much Rolling Stone knows. Listen to "the sheik yerbouti tango" if you don't believe that Frank Zappa is an awesome guitarist. |

The degrees of overrating have to vary, though. For example, it doesn't take much to overrate Britney Spears. It takes a lot to overrate (does that even exist as a verb?) Zeppelin, but it's possible. ... Or you could just put it like Carter did .----------------------------------------------------------------- Quote of the week: "Of course I have played outdoor games. Zeppelin rocks, and Plant has some good solo stuff, though I haven't heard too much. The only people I've ever heard overrate them are posers who, for some reason, think they can 'fit in' by doing so. Makes me mad. Nirvana? *sigh* Just annoying, the moaning and everything. I STILL don't understand what people think is so great about them. |

Look everyone is going to have their own opinoin on a genre, doesn't make it right I could parade and say "rock sucks" and **** like that, but that'd be more ignorance Every Genre takes talent You may THINK (key word) that rap takes no talent But can YOU make a song everyone will give you credit for It's not just writing and rhyming because every genre is like that. Every rap song has a message, + or -. Not only does it require skill and talent for rhyming, you need to know how to create beats, and rhyme with bars and etc. A lot of mainstream rappers are sorry, IE 50 Cent, JKwon, Nelly, Chingy, St.Lunatics Ja Rule, Cam'Ron, etc. And some are not: Busta, D12, KanYe, Twista, etc. But most of the best ones are unheard of: T.I., Lil' Flip, and Various Sounthern artists. I'm done ehre | |

The only problem with some heavy metal is that well thought-out lyrics can be ruined by an inability to understand what the singer is... groaning. Fortunately there are a great deal of groups who sound good too. A lot of mainstream rap lyrics just suck. If your world doesn't revolve around sex. |
