Feel free to post your 25 favorites, as well. This also is an opportunity to see everyone else's taste in music. 1. The Smashing Pumpkins - My favorite band ever. I just love their music, there's no way of explaining it. Tonight, Tonight is my personal all time favorite song, and the only way to describe it is beautiful. Three Great Songs: "Tonight, Tonight", "Stand Inside Your Love", "Bullet With Butterfly Wings" 2. Aerosmith - In terms of amount of songs liked by one artist, Aerosmith trumps them all. They have countless songs that are great. They have withstood the test of time and have remained consistently great. Three Great Songs: "Fallen Angels", "Hole in My Soul", "The Farm" 3. "Weird" Al Yankovic - Weird Al is ****ing hilarious. His wording on his music is clever and funny, and you gotta love his medleys. Not much more I can say, really. Three Great Songs: "Bohemian Polka", "Smells Like Nirvana", "Another One Rides the Bus" 4. Bon Jovi - Ah, one of the hair metal bands of the 80's. The difference: Bon Jovi is good! They have remained around to this day, and although their newer stuff is good, it's the 80's stuff that makes them awesome. Three Great Songs: "Livin' on a Prayer", "I'll Be There For You", "Wanted Dead or Alive" 5. A.F.I. - I only just recently got into this group, and am I ever glad I did. They have a cool pop/punk sound that is neat-o. Not to mention my favorite angst tune, The Leaving Song Part II. I also listened to a few songs from their album The Art of Drowning, and it's great, great stuff. Three Great Songs: "The Despair Factor", "Morningstar", "The Leaving Song Part II" 6. Hootie and the Blowfish - No one seems to like these guys that much. I, however, think they are ****ing great and have a nice easy sound, awesome if you like something relaxing or easy-going. Their '94 album Cracked Rear View is one of my favorites ever. I am wondering when they will come back... Three Great Songs: "Time", "Hold My Hand", "I Will Wait" 7. No Doubt - Gwen Stefani is hot. No Doubt started as a punk/ska type band(which had their best music in my opinion), but they took a chance with their "Rock Steady" album, and it was a successful one. They strayed into other genres, and it had a good sound. Three Great Songs: "Don't Speak", "Spiderwebs", "Running" 8. Nirvana - Nirvana is awesome. I don't think I really need to get into it, because everyone knows how great they are. Three Great Songs : "Heart Shaped Box", "Come as You Are", "Lithium" 9. Red Hot Chili Peppers - What's neat about the RHCP, is they're different. Like, you have rock, and alternative, and then you have the Red Hot Chili Peppers. They're cool enough that I classify them as their own genre. And Otherside is a ****ing great song. Three Great Songs: "The Zephyr Song", "Under the Bridge", "Otherside" 10. The Offspring - Any band with a lead singer named Dexter has to be cool(because Dexter is a stereotype nerd name, ha ha ha). But seriously, despite kinda sucking nowadays, the Offspring still have a lot of songs I think kick ass. And that's what matters, my opinion. Three Great Songs: "The Kids Aren't Alright", "Come Out and Play", "Self Esteem" 11. R.E.M. - R.E.M. is a neat band; they're never THE most popular band out there, but they have a pretty good following nonetheless. I am one of these followers, due to their awesome sound. I think Michael Stipe is a genius and anyone who disagrees should **** in their mouth. Three Great Songs: "The Great Beyond", "At My Most Beautiful", "The One I Love" 12. The Beatles - I despised the Beatles for years, always calling them "hippies" and the whatnot. Boy, was I a stupid bastard. Their music is classic and I take back every negative thing ever said about them. Awesome, and they are legends whether you love em or hate em. Three Great Songs: "Hey Jude", "The Long and Winding Road", "Yesterday" 13. The Goo Goo Dolls - I think this band is underrated. They have a nice, mellow sound that kicks ass. Three Great Songs: "Name", "Broadway", "Black Balloon" 14. The Stone Temple Pilots - For a while, I thought I only liked one or two of their songs. Upon buying their greatest hits album, I discovered I liked a ton of their hits, I just didnt know it was by STP. Good rock. Three Great Songs: "Interstate Love Song", "Big Empty", "All in the Suit That You Wear" 15. Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers - Good, good, good! Running out of adjectives, and I got ten to go. Listen to Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. Three Great Songs: "Into the Great Wide Open", "Refugee", "Free Falling" 16. Van Halen - One of my favorite metal bands ever. Although David Lee Roth had a good run as the frontman, I liked the Sammy Haga era better. Three Great Songs: "Right Now", "When It's Love", "Love Walks In" 17. Rod Stewart - Did you know Rod Stewart was in a metal type band before he went solo? It was called Jeff Beck Group. Interesting. Rod is classic. The hair is, too. Three Great Songs: "Downtown Train", "Reason to Believe", "Have I Told You Lately That I Love You" 18. Bryan Adams - Bryan Adams is awesome. One of the best artists of the 80's, in my opinion. Good stuff. Three Great Songs: "Everything I Do (I Do it For You)", "Run to You", "Summer of 69" 19. Def Leppard - More hair metal. Their music isnt classic, but it is good to listen to, and thats what matters. Not too shabby. Three Great Songs: "Love Bites", "Two Steps Behind", "Bringing on the Heartbreak" 20. U2 - I liked U2 as a kid. I still like U2. Do you, too? HAHAHA GREAT JOKE ROFL. Seriously, U2 kicks ass. Three Great Songs: "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For", "Pride (In the Name of Love)", "Beautiful Day" 21. Fleetwood Mac - I didnt like their music til recently. Like Hootie, they're a good band if you want something nice and easy to listen to. Oh yeah, easy listening. Three Great Songs: "Dreams", "Go Your Own Way", "Gypsy" 22. The Foo Fighters - Dave Grohl did a Foo Fighters album by himself, before the band was formed. He played all the instruments and everything. Interesting fact I thought you should know. The Foo Fighters are cool. Three Great Songs: "Everlong", "Break Out", "Walking After You" 23. Sarah McLachlan - I am in loooooooooove. Sarah's voice is my absolute favorite of any female artist, it is so great, I love it. Her music is my favorite to go to sleep to, and not in the Norah Jones bore-you-to-death way either. In a nice, help me relax type way. 24. Metallica - They are practically the kings of metal. Need I say more? Didn't think so. Three Great Songs: "Enter Sandman", "The Unforgiven", "Nothing Else Matters" 25. Weezer - And to finish off this list, is another band I really didnt get into until the last couple of years. I have found Weezer's sound to be energetic and fun to listen to. You can't go wrong when one of your songs has the lyrics "...and Trix are for kids". Good stuff. Three Great Songs: "Island in the Sun", "Buddy Holly", "Keep Fishin' " |

Hoobastank They deserve to be on here, just because "The Reason" is such a cool song. Favorite song: "The Reason" 24. Outkast While I'm not a big fan of rap, I'll admit that Outkast's got some okay music. Favorite Song: "Hey Ya" 23. Bon Jovi They've got some great songs, and they're one of the few 80s bands that's still around. There's better bands, but they're still great. Favorite Song: "Wanted Dead or Alive" 22. Alice Cooper Not much to say here... I don't buy albums (unless I feel like it ), I just listen to all the music on my computer, which my dad downloads... and Alice Cooper's great. Favorite Song: "Welcome to my Nightmare" 21. ZZ Top They're another good band... not much to say here. Most of these lower-ranked ones on here I don't like THAT much... I just know them, and like some of their songs. Favorite Song: "La Grange" 20. Weird Al Yankovic I would've put him higher, because his songs are usually funny, but I just don't like him THAT much. Favorite Song: ******* Son 19. Iron Maiden I don't really know too much about Iron Maiden, but they've got pretty good songs... so yeah. Favorite Song: Hallowed Be Thy Name 18. Eminem Aah, don't stone me! He's really not all that bad... I used to think he sucked, but some of his songs are good. Favorite Song: "Lose Yourself" 17. Eric Clapton Eric Clapton's just a classic... he's a great singer, a great guitar player, and with about a million albums out this year alone, he's worth the inflated prices. Favorite Song: "Cocaine" 16. The Village People Man, again, it just doesn't GET better. These guys released quite a few good songs... Macho Man, In the Navy, YMCA... they deserve a spot on here. Favorite Songs: "God Gave Rock and Roll To You", "Detroit Rock City", "Dr. Love"... there's more but I don't wanna post too many 6. Red Hot Chili Peppers Another group that just astonishes me every time I listen to one of their songs. Favorite Songs: "Otherside", "Californication" 5. Aerosmith AEROSMITH!!!!! One of the best groups, period, ever. Shut up. Insult them and die. Favorite Songs: "Walk This Way", "Love in an Elevator" 4.
