| I saved Latin! What did you ever do? | Ice Cube Gov't Name: O'Shea Jackson Born: June 15, 1969 Member of: NWA, Westside Connection Ice Cube left NWA as a result of their Manager Jerry Heller's favoring of Eazy-E over the rest of the group. While NWA devolved into mindless gangsterisms, Ice Cube evolved into a controversial, political MC with a gangsta edge (think Chuck D meets Snoop Dogg). He went on to become one of the West Coast's most admired artists and also proved to be a force in the movie industry. Discography (solo): AmeriKKKa's Most Wanted (1990) Kill At Will EP (1990) Death Certificate (1991) The Predator (1992) Lethal Injection (1993) War & Peace Vol. 1: The War Disc (1998) War & Peace Vol. 2: The Peace Disc (2000) With NWA: NWA & the Posse (1987) Straight Outta Compton (1989) With Westside Connection: Bow Down (1996) Terrorist Threats (2003) Song Highlights (as chosen by me): "F*** The Police" (with NWA) "The N**** You Love to Hate" "Jackin For Beats" "Steady Mobbin'" "Givin Up the Nappy Dug Out" "Look Who's Burnin'" "I Wanna Kill Sam" "When Will They Shoot" "It Was A Good Day" "Check Yo Self" "Hello" "You Can Do It" |

I've decided to figure out a new system of The band of the week type deal, at least untill I get more time to do it every week... I want to make sure everyone is okay with it, or has any possible changes.. (also be aware this is probably just temperary solution for time for now) It goes something along the lines of: I propose that there be 2 bands of the month sort of deal. As an example: one could be say, a rap artist, R&B, and other style of that genre, and the other a rock type group, possibly interchangable with any genre besides rap, or the other genre.. you know, just so that two bands of the month are not just rock, or rap.. again- thats just an example of the plan. Of course im still taking requests, and I have one from Upside Down, That's For The A-Town. Haha, please give me feedback.. xD PMs, or post it here.. and again, thanks for reading. Neko^^ |

I guess it's my turn now, so PM me your wishes for the next artist. If I don't get anything by Wednesday, I'm putting the Beatles on, cause, being probably the most influential band EVER, they've been held off for too long. -------------------------------------------------------------- Quote of the week: “A day without denial is a day you have to face.” – Calvin & Hobbes ![]() Pointless fact of the week: Your brain is more active while sleeping than while watching television. |
