Maybe you've heard some of these bands: Rush King Crimson OPETH! Yes Genesis Dream Theater Camel Pink Floyd Alan Parson's Project Evergrey Upon others in no particular order. Music become dull? Tired of everything sounding the same? Prog music is definitly something to look into, because of the generally amazing musicianship and diversity the genre has. P.S. Opeth is the greatest band, if you can understand them. Blackwater Park is a good album to start off with. Some of the most amazing metal riffs, melodies and musicianship of any metal band EVER. If you don't like death metal vocals, then Damnation is an AMAZING Psychedellic prog rock album I'm sure alot of you guys can get into. HAUNTING and BEAUTIFUL. WARNING: Band is very heavy with albums previous of Damnation. Deliverance is very techinical and death oriented, Blackwater park is a great combo of what they are all about and about 5 albums previous are all really fantastic! |

I think his 90s song weren't really Project songs, but solo songs. I just saw that Yes was also on your list. My dad is a big fan of them. |
