Perhaps it's because I would never hear them on the radio and, as such, it would be easier to think of it as a such that only I like (which may or may not be the case). So, this topic will be used to list some of our favourite songs that never have, and never will be played on the radio. Group: Our Lady Peace Song: Denied Album: Naveed This is a song I'm surprised is NOT a single. It, what I would call, a great closing song. It's starts off with bongos and a simple guitar riff, and, by the end, the song is very very heavy. This song also showcases how crazy OLP was in the early day, with a lot of yelling and stuff. Group: Savage Garden Song: You Can Still Be Free Album: Affirmation Savage Garden was the only of the late-90s pop groups that I like (I even saw them in concert). It think it was because they were more soft-rock than pop. Well, this is a slow song from their second, and last, album, which is also one of my favourite songs on the album. It's just a simple song with just synthesizers and by the end the whole band has joined in. This song also really shows how good a singer Darren Hayes his (though I decided to skip out on his, not so rockey, solo album) Group: Blur Song: You're So Great Album: Blur Another love song! This, very simple, acoustic song really shows that it is a shame that Graham Coxen left the group (he's the one singing). Group: Nickelback Song: One Last Run Album: The State Sure they have overplayed single, but there are songs on Nickelback's albums that are really quite good. This one stands out to me because it has a VERY catchy guitar riff to it. Artist: Robbie Williams Song: Me and My Monkey Album: Escapology The the final, for now, song on my list, I will do this 7 minute long epic from Robbie Williams last album. The whole song is just long story about a guy and a gun-carrying monkey. It's a very good song, with Robbie doing different voices for the the different characters in the song. In fact the song is so good, that some guy went ahead and made a claymation video for the song (which you can see by clicking here. Let me emphasize that this is a FAN-MADE video, in case you are wondering why I still consider this song a non-single). That's all for now. You can post some of your favourite non-singles. "Echoes" by Pink Floyd, "Thick as a Brick" by Jethro Tull, "Nine Feet Underground" by Caravan, "Close to the Edge" by Yes, "Supper's Ready" by Genesis, "Tarkus" by Emerson, Lake & Palmer... the list goes on. |

I'll go with "Forest" by System of a Down, then. ![]() |

Practically every Opeth song won't ever be played on radio as they clock in at an average of 10 minutes, although they've had maybe one or two radio edits... but that's bleh Genesis's older catalog, Alot of Rush's stuff, Led Zeppelin (Battle for Evermore anyone?). I'm determined to get a radioshow playing the stuff nobody else will play |

| All I Ever Wanted Was To Pick Apart the Day & Put the Pieces Back Together My Way | Technically, just because a song isn't released as a single doesn't make it filler. "Filler" would be songs added just to make the album a full album, which could include pointless remixes, songs previously released, or in most cases, songs where the artist(s) just didn't put very much effort into it. |
