This is interesting.

There is a new charity single out (actually it's been around for a few weeks), which, according to it's press release, is a spoof all of the previous charity singles since "Do They Know it's Christmas?"

The band is called N.A.H.P.I. and features the following contributors:
ARCADE FIRE'S WIN & REGINE
BECK
BUCK 65
DAVID CROSS
DEVENDRA BANHART
DESSERT’S LIANE BALABAN
ELVIRA, MISTRESS OF THE DARK
FEIST
GINO WASHINGTON
LES SAVY FAV'S SYD BUTLER
ISLANDS' J'AIME
MALCOLM MCLAREN
NARDWUAR THE HUMAN SERVIETTE
PEACHES
POSTAL SERVICE'S JIMMY TAMBORELLO
REDD KROSS’ STEVE MCDONALD
R.E.M’S JOEY WARONKER
RILO KILEY'S JENNY & BLAKE
ROKY ERICKSON
SLOAN'S CHRIS MURPHY
SMOOSH'S ASYA & CHLOE
SONIC YOUTH'S THURSTON MOORE
SPARKS' RUSSELL MAEL
SUBTITLE
SUM 41'S STEVO
TAGAQ
THAT DOG’S ANNA WARONKER
WOLF PARADE'S DAN & SPENCER
YEAH YEAH YEAH'S KAREN O

It's a pretty good song (with a funny video) and all procedes go to UNICEF.

You can listen to the song, watch the video, and get more info by going to http://www.vice-recordings.com/halloween/

I only know REM from that list.

I cannot buy this anyway, since I'm not from the US, but I don't think I would've anyway.

^ I don't know them all either.

Here's the ones I do know (it helps that most of the contributors are Canadian):
ARCADE FIRE - A rock group from Montreal, which had success in the past year with the singles Rebellion (Lies) and Neighborhood #3 (Power Out)

BECK - Singer famous for the songs "Loser" and "Where It's At" (though most of you should know that)

BUCK 65 - Rapper from Halifax with a very distinguished voice

DAVID CROSS - Comedian

ELVIRA, MISTRESS OF THE DARK - Who doesn't know her?

FEIST - I recognize the name. Never heard their stuff though.

NARDWUAR THE HUMAN SERVIETTE - A very nerdy guy who interviews celebrities for Much Music shows.

PEACHES - A singer/rapper infamous for her very vulgar lyrics

R.E.M - Who doesn't know them?

SLOAN - A very Beatles-inspired rock group from Halifax

SONIC YOUTH - Recognize the name. Can't think of what they did though.

SUM 41 - Punk Rock group from Ajax, ON

MTV used to be MUCH different too. So it's still a copy.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"
