I don't know if they do it over there, but here there is always a top 2000 of songs, voted for by the public at the end od each year (since 1999). The list is broadcast on radio in its entirety in the last days of December, ending at midnight of the 31st. This year I voted for the first time. You could select 3-10 songs from a list or add one of your own (which I didn't do), and you weren't allowed to vote for the sae artist more than two times. Here's my list: Queen - Bohemian Rhapdosy Queen - Innuendo The Alan Parsons Project - La Sagrada Familia The Alan Parsons Project - Old And Wise Supertramp - Goodbye Stranger Supertramp - School Dire Straits - Tunnel Of Love Toto - Stop Loving You Deep Purple - Child In Time Santa Esmeralda - Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood As I'm always very bad at listing things in a top 10, these are not neccesarily my top 10 songs of all time. Just some of my favourite songs, by some of my favourite artists, and songs I would like to see high up the list. Innuendo didn't even make the list last year, so that's wy I voted, even though it is not my 2nd favourite Queen song. Bohemian Rhapsody has been #1 for all 6 years this top 2000 has been voted for. The Beatles always have the most entries by far (I think it was 45 last year). There's also a rip-off top 1000, of another radio station, which airs around Christmas (and ends just before the top 2000 starts). November Rain by Guns 'N' Roses was #1 last year (Bo Rhap was #2), but Queen had the most entries in this list. I also voted for this one, which did allow you to vote for the same artist 10 times, so I only voted for Queen Here's my list for that one: Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody Queen - Somebody To Love Queen - The Show Must Go On Queen - Don’t Stop Me Now Queen - Save Me Queen - Innuendo Queen & David Bowie - Under Pressure Queen - I Want To Break Free Queen - Killer Queen Queen - Heaven For Everyone Again, not neccesarily my top 10 of Queen songs, but I didn't see a point in adding non-single songs or small hits that hardly anyone would vote for. What would you've voted for (or what did you vote for if they have something similar in your country)? You can find the list of the top 2000 here and the one for the top 1000 on www.radioveronica.nl For some reason that site doesn't have a specific URL for every page, but I suppose you can figure it out (stem is dutch for vote).
