Since, I'm going to see Franz Ferdinand (I never even heard of Death Cab for Cutie before today), I was a little bummed to find out (after buying the tickets) that Death Cab for Cutie is going to be closing the show. So, I have a choice. Either leave after Franz Ferdinand and essentially miss half the show (well, technically 1/3, since there's an openning act) or stay for an act I have little to no interest in (I'm leaning towards the former). What makes this suck even more is that this is the only Canadian date on the tour, where Franz Ferdinand DOESN'T close. Life's not fair. |

It would have to be actual music (i.e. drums, bass, guitars, singing, maybe keyboards and brass/woodwind section). I don't want to listen to live rappers rapping to a backing track. Has anyone ever seen the Black Eyed Peas live (on tv)? That was terrible. |

Like I'd never listen to the more screamo bands out there, but I really don't mind going to those concerts at all. |

I'm not really into metal or heavy rock, but when it's live I wouldn't mind it. I wouldn't pay for a concert, though. |

Death Cab for Cutie were fair enough, but they were nothing compared to the high energy of Franz Ferdinand (there was also this moment, where the fire alarm went off during the first half of Deathcab's set). The highlight of the night (to me) was a bit, near the end of Franz Ferdninand's set, where there were three people simultaneously playing the drums (on the same set). |
