In fact, the only song of them I knew was Another Brick In The Wall. I did enjoy the performance and wanted to get into other material by the band, but never really did. I always knew Dark Side of the Moon was considered a classic album and when I found out it was also the breakthrough album for Alan Parsons (as a producer) I became even more interested in it, and I finally came across a copy for a reasonable price a couple of weeks ago: and I loved it immediately. I also borrowed my father's copy of The Wall and listened to it a lot lately. Comfortably Numb is defintely my favourite song of them. I haven't heard any other albums, so I'm still a bit of a Pink Floyd noob, but I have downloaded 'Wish You Were Here' (which they also performed at Live 8), which I also like very much. My little brother recently got the Live 8 DVD, so I watched the performance again, but this time I knew all the songs. I enjoyed it a lot more this time. |

Floyd catches a lot of flack from the anti-prog crowd for reasons I can't seem to understand. They stinkin' rule. And remember, "By the way, which one's Pink?" |

Pink Floyd is probaly my favorite band. My favorite album is Animals. I just got a shirt of the Animals cover on it. And I would say Syd is the real Pink. He came up with the name and their first album. And Koga, Comfortably Numb kicks ass. But I think that song needs Roger in it to make it good. |

They played Speak To Me/Breathe (with Breathe reprise), Money, Wish You Were Here and Comfortably Numb. For me it was the highlight of Live 8; even when I first saw it, it felt like something special. |

Heh, on the bright side, for the whole next week Adult Swim had commercial bumps dedicated to reaming MTV for that bonehead move. And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!" |

I was just listening to Dark Side of the Moon not too long ago. I've heard a few bits and pieces from other albums but not much so beyond Dark Side I don't know too much of their stuff. I do know that what I've heard is great though, so the other albums are on my to-get list. |

Sometimes I wonder why on Rhapsody (my music program), Have a Cigar is their featured Floyd track. That song gives me the creeps. They can do better. Anything from Dark Side or The Wall > Have a Cigar. -CSM |

Interviews with all four band members at the time, and Waters, Gilmour and Wright all play and sing their parts (of most of the songs) in isolation. I especially loved the piano only performance of Us and Them. Alan Parsons also plays a lot of tracks individual so you can see how the tracks are built up. All very interesting. This is the third DVD I got in the series of classic albums (after A Night At The Opera and Nevermind), and I'll probably get more of them, as I really like to see what went on during the recording process. |

Well, about 3 months ago but, whatever. What I don't get is, they left out "Hey You" from the movie. But it was in deleted scenes. They might as well of put it in there. |

My English teacher was a big pink Floyd fan who even wrote an essay in college on the wall. Nailed him an A. He explained allot of the parts of the movie and learned a bit about people. It was funny when their nudity as he did not want to corrupt our minds, so he covered those parts up. He would race to the screen and cover it up with his hand and make jokes about intimacy. It was hilarious especially the part about the strippers. He joked that they were having a nice conversation while fast forwarding it. Didn't get to see the end though. A interesting part you guys might or might not know is during the movie where he had the stripper in the room, the actor latterly lost it because it reminded him of something in his life and nearly hit the girl with the vase. She didn't want to work with him afterwords. My teacher learned that from Pinks biography. I belive I remeber it correctly. StealthKnight "Friends who you can trust are true friends indeed."
